Hey all! For the story I am currently writing, I need some prop/acting disasters!! So if anything has gone wrong for you during or doing theatre stuff- or just work in general! Anything is good!- Let me know! I'd love to hear it!!!!! In exchange, I'll put a character of your creation or name a character of your choice after you (or a char) in my story!
The Producer thanks you!

As said character walks up the stairs, she steps on the front of her skirt/dress, pulling it down in the front without her knowing, along with tripping on it. Happened to me during graduation. 5th grade. Thank goodness no one noticed XD

So there's the climatic battle seen, right? A duel, to death or whatever. And right in the middle of it the entire set comes down on top of them, revealing the main character girl actress making out with some nobody. Then you have not only the set disaster but also a scandal centered on the girl.
:iconarwaia:
xD That's great! Thanks!!! :glomp:

I read this on Kate's journal so I'll add to it here. xB

When I was in Les Mis last year, we were doing a full dress runthrough with the setting up. I bent down during once scene and when I came back up again I hit my head really hard on the edge of the banister which caused my to fall back down, on my chin. When I got back up I had blood dripping down my face from the whack on the head, and a bruised chin, but I had to keep acting. :B

There's one for ya, prop disasters.

One time, we were putting on a performance of "What the Bellhop Saw" (yes, a very obscure play), and the bed that everyone had to jump on while one of the main character was underneath it broke slightly before that part of the play. During the second part of the first act, you could hear banging as the main character tried to slam the boards back into place.

Another thing that happened was during our winter musical. We had the ensemble out on stage during a transition, singing as they were supposed to. Unfortunately, one of our tech members was bumped, and he dropped a platter full of glasses and plates onto the stage. There was a god awful crash, and half the ensemble turned around as half the tech crew whispered 'shit!' So, the line they had been singing was '1969', but it sounded like '19 sixty-shit" I don't think the audience noticed though. Anyway, the next scene was a restaraunt scene, so we sent the 'waitor' out with a broom and took care of it.

Hope it helps.
